      Koninklijke Tichelaar is a Dutch pottery company in Makkum, in the Netherlands since 1572. It is regarded as one of the oldest companies in the country.
      After initially producing bricks and later pottery and tiles, the company has focused on traditional decorative pottery since 1890 and on building ceramics since 2007.
      Koninklijke Tichelaar has reached a unique international position in the development of special glazes, while retaining the core values such as know-how, craftsmanship and an awareness of its rich history.       All terracotta sunscreens are coloured by hand and have a naturally nuanced image of gloss intensity, colour and metallic effect in the elements themselves as well as in the elements in relation to each other. Colours from the Barro Supreme Collection can be produced on other terracotta sunscreens or even panels.
